Janina’s path into leadership has always been shaped by both structure and care. With a natural ability to organize, connect, and see the bigger picture, she has built her career around helping people and teams work better together — thoughtfully, efficiently, and with purpose.
As Chief Operations Officer at Prosper Financial Group, Janina oversees the operational heartbeat of the firm. She partners closely with the team to strengthen systems, elevate the client experience, and ensure growth remains aligned with Prosper’s values. Janina is often the steady force translating vision into action, bringing clarity and momentum to both people and processes.
Born in Brazil, Janina speaks Portuguese and lives between Hudsonville, Michigan and Puerto Rico. She has a deep love of languages and culture, is currently learning Spanish, and can often be heard crooning to bossa nova or jazz while cleaning. Janina is married to her husband, Patrick, and together they share a blended family of five adult children, one grandson, and a very spoiled Shih Tzu named Paczki — their fur-daughter and, by family consensus, the undisputed favorite.
Ben believes financial planning isn’t just technical — it’s personal. With more than 20 years of experience, he helps individuals and families make thoughtful financial decisions.
Throughout his career, Ben’s work has reflected a blend of head and heart through leadership, advocacy, and mentorship. He founded Prosper Financial Group in 2024 to build a collaborative, team-based practice focused on long-term relationships. A longtime NAIFA member, Ben has served as NAIFA President and remains actively involved in advancing the profession.
Service extends beyond his work. Ben is deeply involved in his community, including teaching faith formation, and believes in showing up where support and leadership are needed most.
Family is at the center of Ben’s life. He and his wife, Jennifer, are raising their four children — Sylvia, Lilla, and twins Graham and Charlie — along with their golden retriever, Chase. At his core, Ben strives to be a good neighbor — someone who listens, leads with integrity, and offers steady support when it matters most.
Kayla grew up in Fruitport, Michigan, where community involvement and caring for others were simply part of everyday life. She earned her associate degree from Muskegon Community College and later completed a double major in Management and Finance at Grand Valley State University. After graduating, Kayla began her career as a Financial Professional with New York Life, spending five years building and leading her own financial practice. Today, Kayla partners with Ben and continues serving clients with the same care and dedication they’ve always known.
A spirit of service has long shaped Kayla’s life. She previously led a 4-H group and has donated her hair multiple times to Maggie’s Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, reflecting a lasting commitment to giving back in meaningful, hands-on ways.
Kayla recently married her husband, Craig Potter, and they live in Cedar Springs, where they are raising their daughter, Lenora, along with two much-loved bunnies. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys traveling and experimenting in the kitchen — especially baking sourdough.
